Brien earned his Bachelor’s degree in History at the University of Cincinnati in 1992. Upon the completion of undergraduate studies, he obtained his Master’s degree in Education at Xavier University. For more than 20 years, Brien taught Social Studies and coached year-round for school teams and in the community. Additionally, he served as an associate head coach and trainer for the Cincinnati Mavericks, a nationally ranked competitive baseball team.

Brien attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law after deciding to retire from his career as an educator. While there, he completed a year-long internship with the Hamilton County Office of the Public Defender. He also won UC’s coveted Federal Bar Association John W. Peck Trial Practice Award. After graduating from law school, Brien passed the bar examinations for both Ohio and Kentucky within his first year. He is also admitted in the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio.

Brien’s approach to each case is client-centered, tailored to fit your individual needs, and best protect your interests. In his own words, “Nothing is more important to me than freedom.
